Who We Are
Jennifer Marie Rexach is the Founding Member of JM Rexach Law Offices. She is an Attorney at Law and Public Notary with a broad legal background and 20 years of experience. Her areas of Expertise include Corporate and Bank law, Commercial and Residential Real Estate, Insurance law, Contracts, Inheritances and General Civil Litigation within State and Federal Courts and Government Regulatory Agencies. Prior to founding JM Rexach, Law Offices, Jennifer worked for 15 years as Bank In-House Counsel for Oriental Bank, Scotiabank, Scotia Insurance and RG Premier Bank where she managed the bank’s litigation and general legal function for PR and USVI. Additionally, she provided support and evaluated risks associated with corporate and commercial lending, consumer banking and mortgage loan servicing transactions in addition to negotiating and reviewing the contracts, purchase, and sale agreements and other legal documents. Moreover, she acquired particular experience in administrative law, while reviewing, investigating and responding to the administrative complaints filed against the bank within the FDIC, the Office of Commissioner of Financial Institutions (OCFI) and the Office of Commissioner of Insurance (OCI). She worked closely with bank and mortgage units and provided direct support and advice to bank branches regarding contracts, collections, foreclosures and complex inheritance law issues
She also served as a litigation attorney and Public notary for the law offices of Umpierre-Suarez and Juan Hernández Rivera & Asoc. where she acquired vast litigation and trial experience in civil matters including banking, torts, personal injury claims, workers compensation and construction law. As a Public Notary, she has notarized and certified Mortgage Notes, Purchase and Sale Deeds, Mortgage Deeds, Power of Attorney and Last Will and Testaments.
Ms. Rexach graduated Cum Laudefrom the University of Puerto Rico, Bayamón Campus, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration – Accounting. She also has a JD Degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 1999. She is currently a member of the PR State and Federal Bar.
